Leasing in Houston

Whether you are looking for a place to rent or have a property to lease out, you get someone who knows the neighborhoods, moves fast, and reads the fine print.

What You Get

  • Rentals matched to your area, budget, move-in date and pets
  • Help getting your application paperwork ready to apply the same day
  • Tours with an honest read on parking, noise, upkeep and the commute
  • Lease terms negotiated and explained before you sign
  • Leasing out a home: rent priced against nearby rentals, showings, applicant review and the lease paperwork

How renting works

  1. 1

    Tell me what you need

Area, budget, move-in date, bedrooms, pets. One short conversation so I only send places that actually fit.

  2. 2

    Get your paperwork ready

Most landlords ask for ID and proof of income with the application. Having it ready means you can apply the same day you find the place.

  3. 3

    Tour the right places

We see the homes that fit, and I point out what the photos leave out: parking, noise, upkeep, the commute.

  4. 4

    Apply and negotiate

I submit a clean application and handle the back and forth on move-in date, lease length and terms.

  5. 5

    Sign and move in

I walk you through the lease before you sign it, so you know exactly what you are agreeing to.

Common Questions

Do I pay you to help me find a rental?
Often the property owner pays the agent fee on Houston rentals, not the tenant. Every lease is different, so I will tell you up front, before we tour anything.
What do landlords usually ask for?
Commonly a completed application, photo ID, proof of income and an application fee, and sometimes rental history. I will tell you what each landlord requires before you apply.
How far ahead should I start looking?
About 30 to 60 days before you want to move in is a good window. Good rentals in popular areas can go quickly, so it helps to be ready to apply.
Can you help me lease out a home I own?
Yes. I can price it against current rentals nearby, list it, show it, review applicants and handle the lease paperwork.
